An organization can enhance collaboration through individual employee levels. The employees need to learn about generalizations about other cultures so as to fully understand the multi-faceted human being. Secondly, the organization should respect other people choices. Learn to listen to their opinions without making prejudgments. Furthermore, the employees should be aware of the power imbalances. It is necessary to work together as a team. The respect to one another helps in understanding the behavior change. It helps to avoid stereotyping. Lastly, the organizations must be ready to lose everything except its fundamental beliefs to enhance collaboration (Zgheib, 2015). Organizations face obstacles in building collaboration among diverse groups. First, if there is the failure to embrace inclusiveness in the workplace, the management can seclude some employees in decision making based on their ethnicity and sex. For example, gay persons. The seclusion creates a boundary that leads to future conflicts. Secondly, lack of mutual trust among team members affects the whole entity. Besides, an organization may have poorly defined roles and responsibilities. Therefore, the team members are not aware of their expected output levels and fail to support the other team members. Also, the lack of team member on the job training is an obstacle to collaboration among employees (Hughes, 2014). Diversity is a bridge between the marketplace and workplace. Therefore, organizations should be passionate about employees and customers. The value of diversity is derived from an effective management of the workforce.
